CIVCO Medical Solutions, a leader in the manufacture and distribution of ultrasound and imaging accessories; has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Administrator at its Kalona, IA headquarters located 15 miles west of Iowa City, IA.  We offer an exciting and dynamic work environment.  The successful candidate will possess strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to handle interactions positively and credibly. 

The HR Administrator is accountable for day-to-day human resources operations; assuring compliance with current legal standards.  Operations includes all administrative duties related to the employment process, onboarding, training, employee records and reports, and employee information.  The Administrator assists with job evaluation, job descriptions, benefits enrollment, salary administration, unemployment and workers' compensation, EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA compliance.

 

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

·Administer human resources practices assuring benefits, records, and policies are in compliance with government regulations and established company protocol. 

·Resolve Associate benefits, compliance, and policy questions. Escalate employee issues appropriately.

·Properly record and report applicant tracking and coordinate AAP records.

·Maintain job postings, conduct new-hire processing, employee orientation, employee benefits enrollment, and records/files maintenance.

·Administer the nonexempt employment process including applicant sourcing, interviewing, testing, offer generation and onboarding.

·Administer and maintain HRIS and recommend changes to policies, practices and forms.

·Take lead on Associate communications activities.

 

A minimum of three to five years related HR, payroll and accounting experience and/or training is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Candidates must have a proactive, consultative approach to human resources operations with an understanding of the legal and business requirements.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.  Sound judgment, discretion and confidentiality with critical thinking skills a must.
