CIVCO Introduces Transvaginal Needle Guidance for Siemens EV8-C4 Transducer
KALONA, IA, USA – CIVCO Medical Solutions is introducing a new transvaginal needle guide for Siemens EV8-C4 transducer. CIVCO’s transvaginal needle guidance system is designed to correspond with on-screen system guidelines, directing instruments for accurate placement. The guide provides a safe and efficient means for performing all types of transvaginal procedures; the contoured design provides a low-profile (2° angle) fit to the transducer, maximizing patient comfort.
The disposable needle guide snaps into locator slots on the transducer, allowing proper positioning of the guide. The guide consists of a single-piece system, allowing ease-of-use and removal from the probe while providing quick clean-up between procedures. It is intended for single-use, is compatible with instruments 16cm or longer and accepts 16-18 gauge instruments. Anticipated applications include endovaginal gynecology and obstetrics.
